Reading Feng Li's images requires almost no words. The only thing you need to do is stare at his photos.

In 2017, before the Chinese photographer Feng Li published his first collection of works, he arrived at the fake magazine publishing house with a large number of photos. His color photos had a strong impact, prompting the publication of "White Night," a selection of his colorful photographic works from 2005 to 2015. The abandoned black-and-white photos remained uncollected in book form. However, Feng Li claimed that these black-and-white photos were the origin of "White Night," stemming from a lighting feast in the suburbs of Chengdu in 2005.

That feast opened a window for him, revealing, "This is how the world is"—a state of vagueness filled with uncertainty. From that moment on, he maintained an instinctive and direct way of observing and shooting "White Night." Despite the different colors, the images in the book "Good Night" still bear Feng Li's distinctive gaze. Feng Li defines these photos as monochrome, rather than the traditional sense of black and white photography. In his eyes, black is also a color—a "heavy" color, bidding farewell to some good times.

Chinese photographer Feng Li (No.223) was born in 1971 and currently resides in Chengdu. Through Feng Li's lens, almost every scene is captured with a flash, resulting in bizarre images, as if all the absurdity and coincidences in the world have converged before him. His 2017 color photography collection "White Night" was nominated for the annual photography book awards by photo-eye and LensCulture. In 2022, he published the black-and-white photography collection "Good Night."
